held on Wednesday, 14 November 2007 at the Village Hall,

Apologies had been received from Cllr Allen, Cllr Craig, Cllr Holes, Cllr
House, Cllr Lippold, Cllr Madsen, Cllr Milne and Cllr Woodhouse.

3. Minutes of the meeting of 10 october 2007
The minutes were agreed and signed.
4. Matters arising from the minutes of 10 october 2007
There were no matters arising.
5. Planning applications received from Eastleigh Borough Council
5.1 Kew House, Kew Lane, Bursledon – Notification of intent to
fell 1 no. Oak Tree. (Case Officer: Ben Abbatt Case
Ref: N/07/61439).
No letters of objection had been received. Cllr Clarke proposed, Cllr
Moneypenny seconded, with all Members voting unanimously DO NOT OBJECT.
5.2 South Woods, Salterns Lane, Bursledon – Two storey rear
extension with first floor rear balcony and single storey front extension.
(Case Officer: Gary Osmond Case Ref: C/07/61390).
No letters of objection had been received. Cllr Moneypenny proposed,
Cllr Misselbrook seconded to vote DO NOT OBJECT with 3 Members voting in
favour and the LAC Member present abstaining.
5.3 Vessel Berth Riverside Boatyard, Blundell Lane, Bursledon –
Retrospective application of jetty modifications. (Case Officer:
Gary Osmond Case Ref: F/07/61368).
No letters of objection had been received. Cllr Clarke proposed, Cllr
Moneypenny seconded to vote DO NOT OBJECT, with 3 Members voting in favour
and Cllr Misselbrook abstaining in conjunction with his declaration of
interest.
5.4 1 Greyladyes, School Road, Bursledon – Felling of 3 Oak
Trees & lopping of Oak and London Plane. (Case Officer: Ben
Abbatt Case Ref: T/07/61500).
No letters of objection had been received. Cllr Moneypenny proposed,
Cllr Misselbrook seconded to vote DO NOT OBJECT, with 2 Members voting in
favour and Cllrs Clarke and Millar abstaining in conjunction with their
declarations of interest.
5.5 Woodlands, High Street, Bursledon – Notification of intent
to fell 2 Sycamore, 1 Silver Birch, 1 Fir Tree & 2 Oak Trees and crown
lifting of 2 Oak Trees. (Case Officer: Ben Abbatt
Case Ref: N/07/61492).
No letters of objection had been received. Cllr Moneypenny proposed,
Cllr Misselbrook seconded to vote DO NOT OBJECT subject to the Tree Officer
at Eastleigh Borough Council not having any objections to the proposed tree
works. Members voted unanimously in favour.
6. Planning decisions notified by Eastleigh Borough Council
6.1 Riverside Boatyard, Blundell Lane, Bursledon – formation of new
drainage ditch & filling in of existing ditch. (Case Officer:
Andy Grandfield Case Ref: F/07/60539). REFUSE
PLANNING PERMISSION.
6.2 Parsons Plot, Lands End Road, Bursledon - Extension to rear
decking to include balustrade. (Case Officer: Gary Osmond. Case
Ref: C/07/60827). REFUSE PLANNING PERMISSION.
6.3 Gleneig, Providence Hill, Bursledon - Formation of vehicular
access and construction of a driveway. (Case Officer: Gary Osmond.
Case Ref: F/07/60904). PERMIT.
6.4 Kebun Greyladyes, School Road, Bursledon – Erection of timber
summerhouse/office. (Case Officer: Siobhan Strand. Case Ref:
C/07/61002). PERMIT.
The planning items were noted.
7. Correspondence
7.1 EBC notified that Mr and Mrs Brewer of 69 Devonshire Gardens,
Bursledon have appealed the planning decision regarding the erection of a
two-bedroom dwelling adjoining 69 Devonshire Gardens.
7.2 EBC notified that Mr Horrocks of Dartmouth, Bridge Road has also
appealed the planning decision regarding the crown shaping of 1 Copper Beech
tree.
7.3 A letter had been received from the Planning Inspectorate
regarding Mr and Mrs Shepherd’s appeal for Fletchwood, High Street,
Bursledon, which had been allowed.
7.4 Martin Coulson at EBC had emailed re: the Green Flag initiative
for Recreation Grounds and open spaces within the Borough asking if
Bursledon Parish Council would like a Green Flag audit of its Recreation
Ground facilities and open spaces at a cost of £500 per site. It was
resolved that the Clerk would respond to Martin Coulson saying that BPC does
not wish to have an audit. ACTION: CLERK.

8.3 Newsletter invoices outstanding.
