A public consultation about a parish plan for Bursledon has been
announced. A steering group has been set up to guide the
process. Three road shows have taken
place
in January 2011 to seek people's views.
A Parish Plan is a statement of how the community sees itself
developing over the next few years. The plan:
- reflects the views of all sections of the community;
- identifies which features and local characteristics people value;
- identifies local problems and opportunities;
- spells out how residents want the community to develop in the future;
- prepares a plan of action to achieve this vision.
The Bursledon Parish Plan steering group meets on 1st Monday of
each month in the Peter Page room at the Village Hall, Long Lane,
Bursledon. Anyone interested in the parish plan is welcome to
attend. Next meeting is on Monday 6 February
at 1.30pm (please note this new meeting start time from
February).
